Mission Statement
We make disciples who love God, love people, and serve the world!
God is…
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ is…
Jesus Christ is God’s son. He lived a sinless human life and freely offered Himself as the sacrifice for the sins of humanity by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return to earth again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)
The Holy Spirit is…
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides power for living, understanding, spiritual truth, and guidance in our actions. We seek to live under His control daily. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18)
Salvation is…
Salvation is God’s gracious gift, made possible through the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross. We receive this salvation by God’s grace and through faith in Jesus Christ—not by our own efforts, accomplishments, or goodness. It is offered freely to anyone who chooses to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior. That faith is expressed through repentance of sin and baptism by immersion. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Acts 2:38; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26-27; Romans 5:1)
The Bible is…
The Bible is God’s Word to all people, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, Psalm 119:160, Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5)
PEOPLE ARE. . .
People are made in the image of God and are the pinnacle of His creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they are damaged and broken by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates people from God. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2)
Eternity is…
Eternity is the length of time we were created to exist with God. We will either exist eternally separated from God because of sin, or in union with Him through forgiveness and salvation. Eternal separation from God is called hell, while eternal union with Him is called heaven. Both heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence (John 3:16; 1 John 2:25, 1 John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15)
The Church is…
The Church is the body of Christ on Earth. It exists to proclaim the good news of new life in Jesus Christ to the world, to teach His followers to obey His teachings, and to equip His followers for ministry. The church is made up of those who have placed their faith in Christ. The Church is not defined by a building or physical structure — it is the people of God, united by faith and spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:27; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:10; Ephesians 4:11-14; Acts 2:38)
Marriage is…
Marriage was established by God. Scripture defines “marriage” as the exclusive, covenantal union of one man and one woman — a lifelong commitment. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:21-33)
Life is…
Life is created, sustained, and most highly valued by God — from the moment of conception, through our life on earth, and into eternity. Every human being is of infinite worth. Each child is a gift from God, precious in His eyes. (Psalm 139:13-16; Acts 17:24-28)
We seek to be a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching ministry. This list is intended to help you understand the biblical ideas that define who we are.
